Ihr erinnert euch vielleicht noch an einen meiner iPhone Artikel über die Spotlight Suche. Damals habe ich zwar Spotlight so gut wie deaktiviert, aber man konnte noch immer in das Spotlight Menü gelangen. Um nun Spotlight ganz vom iPhone zu verbannen und so die Performance zu maximieren, gibt es das Cydia App NoSpot. Es ist kostenlos und schnell installiert. Nun ist auch endlich der letzte Rest meiner Geschwindigkeitsbremse verschwunden .

Als ich zum ersten mal auf meinem iPhone 3G iOS 4 installierte, konnte man das Arbeiten vergessen. Lange Wartezeiten und Programmabstürze machten keine Freude, also entschloss ich mein iPhone neu aufzusetzen. Ihr geht in die Einstellungen –> Allgemein –> HomeButton –> Spotlight-Suche und deaktiviert möglichst viele Optionen. Ich habe bei mir gleich alle deaktiviert um die Performance zu maximieren, mit Erfolg!

Unfortunately, I, as an user of the iPhone 3GS, am not able anymore to use my “normal” simcard in both, my iPhone and, say, an iPad. On the internet there are hundreds of tutorials on how to cut your sim to make it fit the microsim-standard. Well, they work, as I tested one of these myself, but that’s not what I wanted to do right now.

I wanted to be able to use my sim in my iPhone AND in an iPad. If I’d cut it down to microsim-size, it won’t fit my 3GS’ simslot.

So, here is my solution: the multiformat SIM.

So ganz unmöglich ist es nicht sich Flash Webinhalte auf dem iPhone darstellen zu lassen. Das App dazu heißt Cloud Browse und ist kostenlos. Das Programm öffnet eine VPN Verbindung zu einem anderem Computer und überträgt den dort zu sehenden Inhalt auf’s iPhone. Aus diesem Grund sollte man dort nicht seine Passwörter oder dergleichen eingeben. Für jeden der damit leben kann und mal ein Flashvideo/-inhalt sehen will, ist mit dem App aber gut beraten.
