Nach langem hin und her habe ich mich nun auch endlich bei Facebook angemeldet und ich muss so sagen, so schlecht ist das Netzwerk gar nicht  und wird wohl über kurz oder lang meinen StudiVZ Account ersetzen. Jetzt bietet Facebook einem ja die Möglichkeit das Profil mit einer eigenen Username URL zu versehen. Wenn man dann natürlich Daniel Schmidt heißt und sich erst so spät anmeldet, dann ist natürlich klar, dass schon fast alles vergeben ist… Aber auch ich habe noch einen “passenden” Namen gefunden . So wird Beispielsweise aus http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=7… folgende URL http://www.facebook.com/derdanielschmidtde. Eine schöne Lösung wie ich finde. Wer seine URL auch noch nicht umgestellt hat und nun Lust drauf bekommt, findet hier den Link um das nachzuholen: http://www.facebook.com/username/.

Gerade als Wirschaftsinformatikstudent hat man des öfteren mit der Mathematik zu tun und da es mir immer schon schwer gefallen ist, einen Hefter, bestehend aus Papier zu führen, ich denke so manch einer kennt das berüchtigte schwarze Loch, welches unermüdlich Papier einsaugt und nicht mehr ausspuckt…:), digitalisiere ich seit meinem Studium die wichtigsten Information. Was mich bei der einen oder anderen Formel an meine Grenzen stoßen lies. Bisher halfen mir Tools wie der Word-Formeleditor oder das Hauseigene Macprogramm Grapher. Nach langem hin und her habe ich mich aber endlich mit LaTeX beschäftigt und bin begeistert! Keine halben Sachen mehr, kein langes rumfriemeln bis es stimmt – it works! Am Anfang ist LaTeX vielleicht ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber letzt endlich ist LaTeX ein unverzichtbarer begleiter für mein Studium geworden. Yesterday I was cleaning up my room and then something pretty funny happened to me. (Indeed, you can use these word together in one sentence!)

I own such a frame, which has no picture inside but pretty fine sand and oil. By mixing differently colored sand, you can easily create many different “Dustworlds” by just turning around the frame.

Well, this one is pretty much forever mine and because he looses oil over time, there is now some air inside the glass. When cleaning my room, I just took the frame and put it somewhere else, without noticing the picture.

By accident I looked at the frame a little later and what I saw was so interesting, that I thought you may want to see this, too:
